Art of Empathy with Stacy Carruth

Every third Thursday | 6-8pm | Scarlow’s | Only $20 per person

Empathy is more than feeling other people's feelings, it is a practice of listening to understand with your head and your heart. In this class together we'll explore what empathy is and what it isn't, and challenge some of the most common reasons you might avoid offering empathy in your personal and professional life. Then I'll help you turn that learning into action as you practice offering and receiving empathy with fellow classmates.

If you want to do more, or better, in your relationships at home or at work but you don’t know how or are feeling overwhelmed join me, and a small group of like minded individuals, to learn a new and creative way to relate that will leave you feeling a greater sense of belonging, presence, and ease.

Learn;
Practical skills to support your people while also embracing the feel good hormones you’ll receive as you contribute meaningfully
Habits that unknowingly block connection
Challenge concerns preventing you from offering empathy, like thinking it might make the situation worse or let someone off the hook

This is what a student had to say after attending last months workshop ~
“Your workshop was clear and concise, and exactly what I needed to show up and offer support, the way I want in all my relationships.”

Whether you consider yourself an empathetic person, want to refine your skills, or have heard empathy is important but don’t know how to practice it, join us for an evening of growth, connection, and hands-on empathy training, all amidst Scarlow’s welcoming ambiance.
